Back from dance class. There was a poor badly-dressed guy trying very hard to keep up with everyone in the Intermediate/Advanced level technique class. That class is intended for people who have been dancing for 2-4 years, and are quite good. It’s a really scary hard workout. Poor guy. I think it was maybe his second class. Of course, I’m faking some of the sympathy, because it’s hard to feel _really_ sympathetic towards a guy who was over forty, wearing a pink frilly layered camisole and orange and green striped hot pants. It was a bad fashion mistake. I swear I am not making this up. ---

Oh, yeah, there were three of us chicks who also go out goth-clubbing in class, too. Very cool. We should have broken out the Das Ich and Seabound, and turned it into a how-to-bellydance-to-goth-music class. ---

**Lissla** did you have to dance next to this fashion felon? A pink layered camisole and orange and green stripped hot pants? I thought everybody knew that only a fuschia layered camisole goes woth orange and green stripped hot pants. The man should be on fashion death row. Throw him into fashion solitary confinement right now! I may have to make jambalaya this weekend. I can’t get it off my mind. ---

Oh, leave the poor dancing guy alone! He obviously lost a bet, and is just paying up. Were there any hidden cameras there? Of course, if you knew about the cameras, they wouldn’t be hidden, would they. **Bob** have a nice trip to Venus or the third moon of Saturn or wherever it is they’re sending you. I’m thinking Mr. HotPants may have lost a bet, that is atrocious! In jambalaya, off with their heads and tails, it gets too messy if not. I’m not a big fan of my food looking back at me either, but in certain presentations, it is appropriate for drama’s sake. Mrs. S made my granny’s lasagna last night for dinner, no special occasion, but really good food! We also went to the ballgame last night, so I ate way too much there as well, but that was all junk food. Soft giant pretzels with cheese sauce, nachos, peanuts, and frozen lemonades, washed down with…a diet Dr. Pepper… have to keep my weight down ya’ know. ---

Well, that’s good to know, **Ex**. I didn’t think **Angel Pants** would have let you out of the house wearing that. Actually, he came in wearing a suit, and explaining loudly to everyone that he was here for Beginner 2 level, but there wasn’t anyone in the class, so he was going to take the Int/Advanced. Then he changed in the corner, and I thought bad thoughts when he pulled out the shorts. And then he put on the camisole. Agh. I was trying really really hard not to laugh every time I caught sight of the poor guy in the mirror, trying frantically to keep up. I don’t think it was a bet. I think it was his normal dance class outfit. I really don’t want to see what he wears next time. Ow. First dance class was brutal, and second dance class was Greek bellydance, with lots of backbends. I think I need to spend personal time with a hot pad. It was fun, though. Even though my hip scarf is committing suicide by bead loss. I should get a new one on Saturday. I’m glad everyone enjoyed my story. I remember year ago, when I was in Beginner 2, some guys got teased by their girlfriends into taking class. At the beginning they were all, “how hard can this be, huh?”, and tough. By the end, they were soaked, and looked panicked and exhausted. Bellydance is a damn good workout. ---

So maybe he was there to dance, for real, but still, the outfit! The whole thing reminds me of college when the frat boys would have pledges pose naked for Life Drawing classes. They thought they were being so sneaky, but we all knew why they were there and just used 'em for our nefarious artistic purposes. One guy stood out because he always dressed completely, even his socks and shoes, during each break. Poor little idiot. Oooh, thanks **Homebrew** , I’m checking that website ASAP. The only shop I know of couldn’t tell me a thing, gingerbeer just doesn’t have a big following the way beer beer does. Now to get over my fear of exploding bottles, eep. All this intrigue and mystery! I’m just fairly thrumming with anticipation! **vb,** didn’t your teacher ever tell you if you don’t have enough for the whole class to share, don’t bring any to share at all? Well? 😉😃 I made the shoulder blade steaks last night instead of the night before. The meat was accompanied by gnocchi with a basil cream sauce. It was good. I know, it’s sort of a weird combo; but just think of it like ‘merican home cookin’ mixed up w/a little ‘talian home cookin’. **Lissla,** I think you need to sneak a camera into that class in hopes you can snap a picture of this fashion disaster. I’m sure the pictures running through my mind just don’t do enough justice to what you actually saw. Is the weekend here yet? This week is just dra-a-a-a–a-a-agging along. Really, it SHOULD be Friday. I think it’s draggin’ cause I’m taking next week off and I’m just REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY looking forward to not having to work for a week.
