Many walk the 1/2 mile or 3 miles it takes to get to work. It is not at all uncommon to see someone in a burger king uniform walking down the side walk in town… people who live outside of town the situation becomes much more complicated. I live in an apartment in town, probably 1/3 or 1/4 of the people here do not have cars. They either walk or ride with coworkers. I really wouldn’t think it would take much thought to figure all of this out… I live in a small rural southern town town. One of the dividing lines between the haves and the have nots here is possession of an automobile. ---
