> Yeah. If you really want to know what Trump (and presumably his followers) thinks Clinton’s crazy ideas are, read the “survey” he’s put out as part of his debate prep, [https://www.gop.com/debate-prep-survey/](https://www.gop.com/debate-prep-survey/) . If you ever had to take a sociology class that touched on how to create surveys, it will make you scream.
>
> But I think Clinton’s craziest stance is her belief that she can somehow shame or pressure large companies to keep jobs in the US instead of outsourcing to cheaper markets. (Trump seems to share this belief). In this [NPR article she is quoted](http://www.npr.org/2016/08/13/489761605/how-did-trumps-and-clintons-economic-policy-speeches-compare)as saying “I will stop any trade deal that kills jobs or holds down wages – including the Trans-Pacific Partnership. I oppose it now, I’ll oppose it after the election, and I’ll oppose it as President.” Seriously, how is she (or anyone) going to accomplish that goal?

Holy mackerel, that is one hell of a survey. I haven’t taken any classes on survey design, and it still made me want to scream. “Poisoning the well” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Would it be unethical to organize a survey bombing? Perhaps convince him that he’s been too liberal and to call her “Crooked Hillary” on the debate stage?

> “FLOOD THE COUNTRY WITH THEM”?? What constitutes a FLOOD-- give me some numbers. According to this [site](http://www.census.gov/newsroom/facts-for-features/2015/cb15-ff01.html), the African-American population of the United States in 2015 was estimated at 74.5 million, or 17.9 percent of the nation’s total population. So a FLOOD would be what? 10 million? 35 million?
>
> You’re saying she DELIBERATELY wants to FLOOD the country with immigrants and doesn’t have the slightest awareness of or concern for unemployment in our own African-American community?
>
> Again, I say: to what end?

Trump will now have to build an ark for white people instead of a wall if he doesn’t get elected. People better start donating to his foundation if they want to be saved.

Steven Colbert told his viewers to fill it out with their own questions in the “Other, please specify” option.

I’m going to ask: “Can we trust a man in denial about his tiny hands?” and “What kind of dead animal is your hair made from?”.

I’m sure we can come up with more.

Maybe something on the specific construction of the wall, since he’s such a tremendous builder. How is Mexico going to pay for it, exactly?

On the other hand, he can’t let any slight pass, so it would be awesome to hear him go off defending his hand size for a few minutes.

I think Clinton’s suggestion for a no-fly zone/safe zone in Syria is extremely risky. Between the possibility of needing troops on the ground to enforce safe zones, and the possibility of confrontation in the skies between Russian, Syrian, and coalition airplanes, it makes me worry that it would make things a lot worse.

Yes.

Also, she has compared Vladamir Putin to Adolph Hitler. This may not be a policy proposal, but unless she believes we shouldn’t have went to war with Hitler, it carries certain implications. This coupled with her support of NATO expansionism is very dangerous.

Actually I think that’s one of her best policy proposals. People who don’t see Putin as a huge threat to Europe are deluding themselves, to the exact same degree as people who think Trump might be an okay guy if he actually gets elected.

I did it and I didn’t even know Colbert suggested it.

I suggested that he put Hillary in a headlock until she admitted she lied. I suggested that he point to her breasts and compare them unfavorably to Melania’s.

I suggested that he promote his economic plan of having every man woman and child in the country enroll in Trump University, then we will all be millionaires.

I suggested that he might be nervous before the debate and that might be a good time for his first beer.

I suggest that he ride Chris Christie to the podium - walking is for losers.

And I made a whole bunch of other suggestions as well.

Trump doesn’t smoke, drink, or do drugs, and makes tons of money fleecing the gullible. Keith Richards does all three, simultaneously, and makes killer rhythm guitar riffs. Doesn’t make tons of money, but plenty.

Case closed

I’ll pick up some smokes on my way to the bar, bring some weed and meet me there.

She helped negotiate the deal, she heavily promoted, and because she ran against Bernie Sanders she changed her position to being against it. It seems pretty crazy to me to be against a proposal that you are one of the key individuals responsible for. It would be like Barney Frank coming out opposed to Dodd-Frank.

This is a shift in position, make no mistake, but it’s a shift in position from one arguable position to another. Neither “I am against the TPP” nor “I am in favor of the TPP” is truly an insane, unreasonable position. Certainly the world economy does not hinge in the balance.

I heard the protesters were demanding that the police stop and frisk them without a warrant. They feel that only that will make them safe and prosperous.

> Considering she’s also said that she doesn’t include nuclear power in her energy policy (although she keeps flipping back and forth on whether she supports or opposes nuclear) then it’s kind of hard to see her energy policy as anything but crazy.

> Trump does not seem to understand that regulations he so deeply wants to cut are crucial to preserving clean air, and clean, safe drinking water for all Americans.
>
> A recent Harvard study found that the public health benefits of the Clean Power Plan are so robust that they outweigh the costs of the carbon standard in 13 out of 14 power sectors within five years of implementation. The same study estimated that the plan could save some 3,500 lives every year. Similarly, the Waters of the United States rule would protect the drinking water for a third of Americans that currently get their water from unprotected sources.
>
> Beyond rolling back crucial protections, Trump’s speech on Thursday showed that he does not intend to back down on his policy proposal that would open up vast regions of the United States to fossil fuel production. His desire to open both federal lands and offshore areas to drilling is the antithesis of the Keep It In the Ground movement, which has called for an end to new leases for fossil fuels on public lands — under a Trump presidency, not only would these leases continue, but leases would likely increase.
>
> During his speech, Trump noted that less than 10 percent of federally-managed surface and mineral estates are currently leased for oil and gas development, while almost 90 percent of our offshore acreage is off-limits to oil production. Instead of viewing these protections as a benefit to both climate and the environment, however, Trump pledged to dismantle these restrictions, calling them “a major impediment to both shale production specifically, and energy production in general.”
>
> - “Trump’s dirty-fuels-first plan is pretty simple: drill enough off our coasts to threaten beaches from Maine to Florida, frack enough to spoil groundwater across the nation, and burn enough coal to cook the planet and make our kids sick.”\*
>
> Trump’s speech comes on the same day that Oil Change International released a study illustrating that the potential emissions from the oil, gas, and coal in currently operating coal mines and oil fields is enough, if those mines and fields are operated through to the end of their projected lifetimes, to take the world well above 2 degrees Celsius of global warming. Several studies have already argued that for the world to remain below 2 degrees Celsius — the threshold agreed upon by more than 170 countries during the U.N. Conference on Climate Change last December — the majority of the world’s fossil fuel reserves need to remain untapped.
>
> After Trump’s speech, Sierra Club Political Director Khalid Pitts criticized the Republican presidential candidate’s policies, calling them polluter “talking points.”
>
> “Trump’s dirty-fuels-first plan is pretty simple: drill enough off our coasts to threaten beaches from Maine to Florida, frack enough to spoil groundwater across the nation, and burn enough coal to cook the planet and make our kids sick,” Pitts said in a statement. “In stark contrast, Hillary Clinton is the only candidate in this race who is committed to grow the booming clean energy economy to create jobs and help tackle the climate crisis.”
