# hiring question

any Dopers around here in charge of hiring or take part in the process? My company is looking to hire a few new people (2 to 3 but all in different roles) and they’ve asked me to “give it a shot” for bringing people in. Gotta love that direct and guided management style, eh?
Anyway, I’ve done some research but I’m thinking that [Monster.com](http://Monster.com) is the smartest way to go. Its pretty cost efficient, especially if you are placing more than one ad and it will reach a wide audience.
Thoughts? Advice? Any tips on writing up the ad?

I have gotten a couple jobs from [Monster.com](http://Monster.com) … so speaking as a prospective employee [in a manner of speaking…] putting a job on Monster is good.
However, nothing drives me more insane than submitting my resume in _their_ preferred manner [either the quicklink on the site, or by mailing/faxing/emailing] I absolutly dispair of not getting _any_ response back at all=\ There is nothing quite as depressing as putting in an app a day and getting zip response, not even a ‘thanks, but you are pond scum’ or ‘thanks for the resume, we got it \’ … FWIW, make the suggestion that you respond even if it is just an ack that you _got_ a submission…pretty please?
