Two are foreign, (Drunken Master II and Wings of Desire) which means their target audience couldn’t be arsed to even look at the rating.
One is the LotR trilogy (they counted it as one movie.) I’d like some to point out to me the difference between the “brutal medieval warfare” that landed Braveheart an R and the brutal medieval warfare that landed LotR a PG-13. You can try to rationalize or nitpick all you want but at the end of the day it’s inane and political.
(not on there but look at the rating 77.3% of people rated it a 10, most had to rate it a 1 to get it down to size).
Too bad you missed the rush, the board used to be filled with “this movie changed my life” posts, ditto with the ratings. I remember one post was like “imagine yourself sitting in the comfiest chair in the world, in a suit made of 500 dollar bills and a floor tiled with gold coins. The joy of the top 100 things of your life overwhelming you at once, that’s what watching this film is like, even in your dank basement on a rainy night.”
