Hitler-Parkinson's? Gay?

Right. Machtan and Brownjohn’s evidence is basically:

  1. Hitler had gay friends and associates
  2. Hitler liked Wagner, who was a gay icon
  3. Somebody named Hans Meld, who served with Hitler in WWI, at one point tried to blackmail Hitler, claiming he was gay
  4. Hitler didn’t have a lot of girlfriends
  5. When Hitler came to power, he persecuted gays (the whole “homophobes are secretly gay” argument)

Yes, it was that attempt. An army officer had put a bomb in a briefcase he then placed in Hitler’s headquarters, where he had been meeting with his generals. However, before the bomb went off, someone else tripped over the briefcase, and, annoyed that it was in the way, moved it to the other end of the table. That meant that, when it went off, Hitler, instead of being next to the explosion, was seperated from it by a big, heavy, oaken table, which absorbed some of the blast.

What happened to him physically, if that’s what you’re answering, is that he suffered a concussion, burns, bruises and cuts, temporary hearing loss, and a sprained arm.

Gay, Bi…?

Hitler always said he was married to Germany. What would THAT make him??

The FATHERLAND?

The profile was NOT created after the fact. It created whilst WWII was still in progress. It was hoped that it may help the war effort.

“Zo, mein herr…are you a freund of Wotan?”

Not very carefully, if you think you were whooshed.

I’m not a doctor, and I don’t know anything about Parkinson’s disease. But I did see something on The History Channel. (THC has IMO a very poor record as far as accuracy goes.) Basically, they said this: Hitler’s hands trembled, which can be seen in archival footage. Parkinson’s patients’ hands (they said) don’t tremble when they are being used. Hitler was seen to carry gloves or another item, and his hands didn’t shake at those time.

I’m Gay.

When I was living in Berlin, I met Klaus (not his real name), a Gay guy who was deaf and we were able to communicate quite well (he could read lips.)

The reason he was deaf was because his father went into a rage and took his hands and clapped them over his ears over and over one night.

The reason for his rage? Klaus had found an old photo of his father, a blond, blue eyed soldier with about six other soldiers who looked similar. They were Hitler’s personal bodyguards. Klaus was found by his father, masturbating while looking at the photo and fantasizing about the other guards.

Klaus’ mother later told him that all of the guards were hand-picked by Hitler and that they were often called to be of “service” to Hitler and Klaus’ father still had the rage from those days.

I have no reason to doubt Klaus’ story. He certainly never embellished any other story he told me, and if anything, he was a very private person. He himself was also blond, blue-eyed and gorgeous - and to be blunt, he was very well-endowed (although we were never intimate, I did see that part). If his father was at all similar, I can understand how he might have been selected to be a part of that particular assignment.

Well, when I looked there was nothing for 3 cents. ::SHRUG::. Not sure what would have constituted a *more *careful look… Peaking around corners? Under the rug? Even now there doesn’t seem to be anything for three cents on Amazon. Can you show me how to look more carefully? :stuck_out_tongue:

Eva is said to have been pretty dense and didn’t have much of a personality.

I dunno, she looks pretty good to me here. I think she may have been one of the kinds of people who simply don’t photograph well. I’ve seen newsreel footage of her cavorting on the beach in a swimsuit where she looked quite stunning. Also the Nazi ideal woman, at least as portrayed in many of the propaganda posters I’ve seen has a distinctly “farmer’s wife” kind of look about them, so while the male ideal might have been of a handsome, studly kind of fellow, the female ideal was baby factory. Of course, that might have been colored by Hitler’s choice of a companion (there certainly were much better looking women who were interested in Hitler) and the fact that if you said you thought she wasn’t attractive, her boyfriend could have you killed.

Of course, there we can see how Hitler saw her…

Yow. Well, I have heard he was bad at rendering people. (And he was Hitler…maybe that’s what did it for him.)

Assuming that’s really a Hitler sketch, that is. Shouldn’t be that hard to confirm or debunk…but that sure looks like Adolf’s John Hancock at the bottom.

Is it true that Hitler had a fascination with his niece? Did he obsess over her to the point of locking her up? Did she commit suicide because of it? This would show that he was not gay but a sexual deviant.

Half niece-Geli Raubal. It’s hard to say exactly what their relationship was, but we know they lived together (along with Hitler’s half-sister, Geli’s mother, who worked as his housekeeper) and there are rumors that they were lovers. At any rate, Hitler was overprotective of her, and really tried to restrict what she did and who she went out with, but whether this was a lover’s jealousy, or just him acting paternal, who can say for sure.

She committed suicide in 1931 after they had a fight (or, if you believe other rumors, he killed her/had her killed, but there’s not really evidence of that).
