I’m watching a rerun of Odd Couple. Involving Felix appearing on a variety show hosted by Richard Dawson (obstensively his old wartime show biz partner). At any rate after he did his song Oscar introduces the next act…The Aristocrats.
(Should I add it was an old man, an old woman and a midget? And a see saw? And no they didn’t show the actual act!)
Of course before last year I wouldn’t have thought anything of it. Now I can only assume it was a rather good in-joke.
Anyway I felt I had to share. Anyone get any other show biz in-jokes, feel free to contribute 🙂 .

That is pretty cool. I wonder if “The Aristocrats” shows up in any other TV shows or movies. Obviously it can’t be slipped quietly into a script any more.
