English majors and anyone who has ever seen _The Three Amigos_ would surely know what “plethora” means **tanook** ’. It’s a fine, fine word. If you were wearing a tank **Lissla** , and you wanted to go through a door, what would stop you? I mean, come on! You’re wearing a tank! You just go _through_ the door. Simple. Color copies **Swampy** , that’s the key. Swipe your picture from dear old Mom and take it to, say, Kinko’s and get color copies made. Then keep the original and give Mom the copy. 'Cause she’s old and wouldn’t notice anyway. Heck, you could replace the picture with a page ripped out of Time magazine and see how long it is until she notices. Everyone should shop at Glimflashy Kalon Gothele. They have nice pants there. **Kallessa** , will you give me a topic for next week? Or do you want to hear about the plumber digging up my yard? Yer welcome! 😃 Speaking of t-shirts - my Perfect Child[sup]TM[/sup] was wandering thru the mall with The Boy yesterday, and she bought me a Purdue T-shirt! A gift for no reason! How sweet is that? She also got a UCF T for her dad, but she’s going to mail it to him, so I can’t wear my Purdue shirt when I go to Balto this weekend. It’d spoil the surprise. Still, it was a very nice surprise. Guess I won’t sell her to the circus after all. ---

Heh. Every time I hear the word plethora I think of _The Three Amigos_. “Would you say I have a _plethora_ of pinyatas?” Ok, so I know that’s not how to spell pinata. I looked it up and I know better now. Interestingly enough, if you type my misspelling into [dictionary.com](http://dictionary.com), it doesn’t even suggest pinata. Well, it does, but not until after it gets through: Pinta: (its top choice for what I was trying to spell) A contagious skin disease prevalent in tropical America, caused by a spirochete (Treponema carateum) and marked by extreme thickening and spotty discoloration of the skin. Sweet Jesus! It also suggested “piny atas” and its long time friend, “piny-atas.” Unfortunately, they don’t have a listing for either word, which I find to be rather strange, since they suggested it. bastards Well, as you may have guessed, piny means having lots of pine stuff, but atas is an acronym for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which means the suggested spelling for pinata that I was given by [dictionary.com](http://dictionary.com) is all about a meeting of the ATAS out in the woods. I also think this is terrific because it brings me back to the first page, when **Rue** and **I** were talking about how lame the acronyms KITT and KARR are, and I think ATAS is a pretty lame acronym as well. What a lovely hijack. Oh, and horses give me the willies. Don’t know why. Can’t stand them, though. Now I’m off to do something manly and pretend I’m not scared of horses. -tool (scaredy-like) ---

Okay folks, my possession by my former teacher self seems to have passed, so I’ll give you all “A’s” (an “A+” for **Rue,** hubba hubba 😉 ). Strange that I should have been giving writing assignments anyway-- was a history teacher! And Rue, even in full teacher mode, I wouldn’t presume to limit your creativity by assigning you a topic to start the MMP! I have no cute or otherwise noteworthy horse stories, although a friend did once send me a photo of her son all dressed as a cowboy (a red cowboy outfit with white trim–he was a dandy cowboy apparently) sitting on a pony. They’re coming to visit soon and he’s probably old enough to be embarassed by this type of picture, so I may have to dig it out and put it on my refrigerator. I think I’m going to add to my userneam–what do you all think of \*\*Kallessa, the Kalon of the SDMB? ---

I think the “(square bracket)b(close square bracket)” (You know, when you just write it out the way you did, it really screws up the other coding. Weird.) is a little superflous **Kalleassa**. Other than that, it’s marvey! (Like “Jake” only less so.) Ewwww… why would Chris Columbus name one of his boats after “a contagious skin disease prevalent in tropical America”? Hmm, I don’t know what Pinta means. I did a google search and all I found out was that the Pinta was a square-rigged caravel. Whatever that is. Also that you can buy it as a model, fully rigged, or as an ornament. Rue, I’m pretty sure that the bean is called pint **o**. Which is also a horse! Ya just can’t get away from them quadrupeds. Mmmmmm…soft…chewy…caravel… ---

Wow. The words I found are popular. I think we’ve decided on “Gliffing”. It’s a funny word. I love lots of words. “Nostrificate” is a good one. So are “fandagle” and “metraphobia”. Anyone know what those ones mean? Goodness, my neighbours are being loud and chatty. I’m glad I’m going out to a nice quiet club this evening. “Quiet” meaning “acceptable noise level with industrial earplugs, but not without”.
