Make sure you have enough room too, it’s a good 3-4 hours long if I recall.
I taped it last year on DVR, and I never delete it, as it IS really good.
I thought Mr. Teatime was great. 😃

I agree with you. I think it’s the only good adaptation so far. Infinitely better than the sub-garbage that COM/TLF was.

To be sure, it wasn’t some $100 million Hollywood Epic Production, but I very much enjoyed it and will own it someday.
Hell, if it HAD been a Hollywood blockbuster, we would have had something like Tom Cruise as Mr. Teatime, Cameron Diaz as Susan and Morgan Freeman as Death.

It’s good when it stands on it’s own. But for me it fell short of my imagination of what the discworld (and Death, and Suzan etc…) are like. I have always wanted a big-budget realization of [one or more of] these books and that’s not what this was.

missed edit: Also: I was hoping it would be so good that it would tempt people to start reading Discworld. But I feel that anyone who sees this will (if they choose to pick up one of the books) will have a pre-existing view of Discworld and therefore won’t have as much freedom to imagine. They’ll picture Death as a cheap pantomime skull in a robe.
