Hoho HO ho: The Hogfather

They really trimmed Death’s appearance at the mall. You didn’t get the conversation about the lizard press or about the pony in the kitchen.

I thought all of the principles were spot on. That wasn’t exactly how I had pictured Teatime, but I like their version better than mine. (The actor said that he was influenced by Johnny Depp’s Willy Wonka, which makes sense.)

I’ll probably watch the second part tonight. Like Lightnin’, don’t ask how I got it.

Thanks to living in the US, I haven’t seen this, but I watched some clips of Teatime online, and if he was like that throughout I have to agree. I’d always had a very difficult time imagining Teatime. He always seemed quite vague in my head as I was reading the book. But, that portrayal seems both pretty similar to what’s described in the book and, well, creepy.

Sigh. Now if only I could somehow get my hands on this. I’m dying of envy.
