# Hold me, Bat Boy!

Last night I saw the Playhouse on the Square production of **Bat Boy: The Musical** and it was awesome! Memphis dopers should make a point out of seeing this show. It rocks!

The world first learned about Bat Boy from the [Weekly World News](http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/) , that paragon of journalistic virtue. The musical debuted off Broadway right before September 11, and closed soon afterwards. It really has all of the marks of a classic. The songs are great–even the attempt at rap is decent. And there’s not a five minute period without a laugh in the whole thing.

Has anyone else seen it? Did anybody see the original run?
