Barring conflicts with family events ('tis the season, after all), I’ll be there, and odds are reasonably decent that Mrs. F. might be there too. For those who say she never comes to Dopefests, lately she’s been to: - Dave and Ginger’s wedding - an NYC Dopefest in August - the MAD Dopefest in Polycarp’s honor - Dope-A-Ween We may assimilate her yet. 🙂 Speaking of loops, spouses, and so forth, is it safe to assume that **Intaglio** is the username of Mrs. **Tranquilis**? ---

Are we going to do a gift exchange? I have real, live friends coming as well, and I’ve pretty much said ‘bring your friends’ to everyone I have invited. I don’t know that there would be enough gifts to go around, so I’m not sure about it. I’d also not want to have people think they have to stay away because their finances don’t allow. Plus, there will probably be two couples who are Muslim, and they might be ooged out by that. (One of the couples is very new here, and only here for a short time from Turkey). ---

Why would Muslims be ooged out by a gift exchange? Everybody likes prezzies! Last year, I gave Christmas presents to my co-workers ( those chocolate oranges you whack open) and I gave our Muslim mail room supervisor a nut and fruit candy box for Eid Al-Fitr. I’d love to come, but the bf doesn’t like me being away without him. I’ll see if I can wheedle him into going.
