I just learned that [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=5543758&postcount=25). Went back, scrolled down, and sure enough! I’d like to pit you, Veb, but I’m gonna have to grunt and squint real hard to come up with something… Lessee… Your damn username is confusing. Too many people think it’s TV-eblen. Nobody knows what the hell an “eblen” is. You should have included a hyphen, as in T-Veblen, but apparently you are an anti-hyphenite. Any-way, I am hon-ored to be the first Dop-er to pit you and there-by wel-come you to Pit mod-dom. ---

According to the bottom of page 1, Pit thread menu, so are **Coldfire** and **Arnold Winkelried**. I assume it’s because **Lynn** occasionally needs backup due to health reasons? ---

Thanks. I think. [wailing rant]Shit, I _am_ bland to the point of blending right into the freakin’ wallpaper. Even the wallpaper is probably something disgustingly blah, like cabbage roses and a matching border. I’ve been a bona fide Pit mod for _months_ now and still haven’t rated a decent spitting Pit rant. Do you KNOW how embarrassing it is when notable hardasses like **bibliophile** and **SamClem** inspire more ire? Huh? HUH?! [/rant] Sigh. I’m depressed. Thorstein Veblen Stealth mod ---

The subject was raised rightfully, **ETF**. The thread doesn’t really belong in the Pit because it isn’t really current news about the administration of the board to be discussed.
