Did you see the clip from his birthday party they played on “The Daily Show”? A Marilyn Monroe imitator (horrible, btw) sings “Happy Birthday, Dear President Pro Tempore” to him, and at the end, he slowly reaches out a parchment-pale clawlike hand and clamps onto her forearm. At that point, I said to the TV, “Hnnnngggghhh, _braaains_,” and cracked myself up for hours. ---

Why do we regular citizens have a tough time staying employed by the time we reach 50-55 while this geezer keeps getting re-elected? He can’t have been doing anything effective for the last decade or so! ---

It actually looks like poor Strom died about 5 or 6 years ago and his corpse still sits in the senate helping run our country. Just think the taxpayers are even this day paying him to help legislate our nation. I’ll bet if he were a schoolbus driver they would have forced his retirement a long time ago. But then again, schoolbus drivers provide a more important and necessary function than politicians. ---
