Today is my birthday, and I’m 45. 45! Halfway to 90! I can’t be 45! OK, so I’m wearing reading glasses, and I’ve started having hot flashes (or, as I call them, “private summers”), but I can’t be 45! FORTY FIVE!! Gaah. I’d better get some really, really good cake out of this. ---

I got cake! An ice-cream-and-cake cake. It was yummy (or as Rachel Ray would say, “Yummo”). I also got a new digital camera, so I can post photos of my dog and cats. And several donations to the Red Cross in my name. I’m going to start dressing inappropriately for my age and telling people that I’m older than I really am so they’ll tell me how marvelous I look. ---
