I am pretty shaken up right now, so if this all comes out jumbled up please forgive me. I just got a phone call a couple hours ago from a detective from Concord Police Department, saying that my friend had disappeared 24 hours ago and if I had heard anything from her. I told him that we talked the day before, but that there hadn’t appeared to be anything wrong. She got along with her family well, doesn’t have a boyfriend, and didn’t get in any fights with her friends. She went to go get gas yesterday at 4 pm and never came home. She is one of my two best friends, and now nobody knows where she is. This is all starting to sink in, and it is hitting me very hard. I can’t believe this. She just disappeared, and they haven’t found the car either. None of her friends have heard from her, nobody at the gas station saw anything, and she doesn’t have a cell phone. ☹ -foxy ---

Wow… Scary stuff, but there’s no pressing reason for us not to think positively: She didn’t (judging from the OP) have friend/boyfriend problems, and she’s been missing for (if I’m calculating correctly) less than 48 hours. Perhaps she just needed to take a powder or something. Don’t get me wrong - I’m not trying to trivialize the situation, or pat you on the head and say, “Oh, it’ll be fine, don’t worry so much”. What I _am_ saying is this: It seems, to me, pretty damn plausible that your friend hasn’t neccessarily had something bad happen to her - and you know that the police are way on top of finding her. And **foxy** , do try to take care of yourself, both for your own sake and so that you’ll be mentally focused in case your assistance is needed down the road, either by your friend or by the police. I’ll be crossing my fingers for all involved. ---

There hasn’t been any new news, and if I could find a web link that would provide some information I would, but I can’t. I’ve been searching desperately for some news site from North Carolina that mentions ANYTHING but I haven’t found it. My friends all say that there’s nothing new, and I am really starting to get worried. This is day two. -foxy ---

I have been lurking for a few weeks now, but wanted to help out and post the link with the information on this one. I don’t know her, but I do live in Concord and I do know what it is like to not know. My thoughts are with you ladyfoxfyre. I stop at that same gas station almost every week. I hope that she will find her way home soon, with the help of everyone looking for her or on her own. **ladyfoxfyre** , I hope your friend is OK. There could be any number of reasons why she would disapear for a while but still be fine. 24 hours seems like forever when you don’t know where she is, but keep your hopes up.
