Yeah, he made some positive contributions. All that knowledgeable? I don’t see it. But a volume of posts that were not crap? Sure. Still, even he acknowledged that he often was just trolling, he often derailed discussions, and he was given many chances to step away from the ledge. His quality to crap ratio did not justify ignoring the rules just for him. Still, I also could ignore his crap just fine and did not find him as annoying as many others that are still here. ---

Whenever a long-term poster is sent packing, there’s always a lot of rending of garments that the board will never be the same, and that’s true, it won’t, but so far it’s continued to survive. And I’m sure it will in the future. But as I’ve posted less and less over the years, especially in political threads where the frustration is simply too much to bear, I was always comforted that **Dio** was there, waging the battles I was too fried to wage. Sure, he was a jerk sometimes. Who wouldn’t be? –Cliffy ---

I was at about a “meh-minus” about the banning (i.e., not excited, a little upset, mostly just meh), but then I read all of the posts linked to in his official banning thread. I had missed every single one of those the first time around. Now I’m extremely glad his ass is gone. I’d recommend that others on the meh-wagon take a look at those posts. ---
