Did it ever occur to you that criticizing people for the number of posts they have made in a relatively short time may not really be the best choice of tactics? Consider that as I sit here, between violent episodes of vomitting, due to certain medications, I choose to reach out to my fellow human beings instead of watching TV. But don’t worry, there is a pretty good chance I will not be around to post much longer. Thanks for completely missing the point of the OP and choosing to spew insults. ---

Oh, I got the point of the OP, all right. You started this thread to brag about how you hijacked a perfectly valid discussion (yeah, I know, you thought it was a hijack) that you couldn’t follow in another thread with a petty complaint that was ignored by the other posters. The OP of that thread never seemed to feel that the discussion of statistics was a hijack. Now you’re mad because we haven’t commiserated with your whine about “pompous fools”. I don’t know what you mean by “best choice of tactics”. Do you mean like hinting that you’re at death’s door, after having just offered to buy me a beer when we meet in the future? I did not mean to give the impression that I was at deaths door, I just have a pretty nasty case of the flu. When I said I would probably not be around much longer I was referring to the fact that I will be going back to work soon and not have so much freetime to instigate so much wrath. ---

Actually, **Optihut** , that’s a good image. Sock puppets are created by folks (like trolls) who get banned, and return under a new identity. Once detected, they’re banned for being sock puppets. I believe that the term also extends to people who have one established identity here, who create a second identity (the sock puppet) and post under it as well. Being caught doing that will get both identities banned. I’m not a mod, so I’d welcome correction if I’ve misstated it. ---
