The Nostalgia Critic hits on the appeal in his [Godzilla](http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic/2685-godzilla-1998) review. Emmerich movies are the worst kind of popular tripe, but the trailers are just so damn awesome at whipping up interest. (Of course, I actually really _like_ Stargate and ID4, but hey.) ---

It’s disaster porn. There will be no plot other than 'destroy everything in a exciting and visually interesting way". It’s a Syfy Friday night disaster flick with a real budget and name actors. Which is not a bad thing. Plot and acting would get in the way of the effects. ---
