I’m not trying to guilt-trip anyone though; I’m just saying it’s an interesting place, historically. I’ve lived there. It sucks. I don’t think it’s racial in origin, I think it’s poverty in origin. There are better parts and worse parts of Orange Mound. I lived in a worse part for a few months, and I saw a lot of petty to violent crime in that short period. I guess it’s like Frayser though. There’s very nice parts and very, very bad parts. ---

When I drop my kids off at daycare, after saying my good byes and giving the kisses and hugs, I can’t get out of there fast enough. The noise alone is enough to make your hairs stand on end. **OP** , if you end up living anywhere near Sycamore View Ave I have fantastic daycare to recommend if you are interested. 🙂 ---
