Part of what is so distracting to me is that her eyebrows are so sparse. It really lengthens the top of her face because she is missing that bit of definition. If she filled in her brows, I think she’d look much more like herself. Other than that, I can’t figure out what she might have done. She has the wrinkles you’d expect for someone her age, so I don’t think she’s done Botox. I agree that she looks to have lost a good bit of fullness in her face, which could be surgery, aging, or illness. Plus, she’s not doing the squinty, pouty thing she usually does. ---

_Is_ that really Zellwegger? Seriously, is there proof the woman in those photos is actually Zellwegger and not someone claiming to be her with plastic surgery? I’m not trying to be cute. I’m looking at older photos right now and I genuinely see no resemblance. Folks keep mentioning Jennifer Grey, but she’s still recognizable. You look at her and you don’t need anyone to tell you her name. ---

Many people are quick to jump on plastic surgery as the reason for any change that may actually be natural or due to illness, diet, or exercise, and I don’t think it is surgery this time. I hope it’s not permanent. Doesn’t botox eventually wear off? It’s too bad people think they need to tweak their appearance to the point they lose their distinctiveness and end up all looking alike. Made me think of that game where contestants would try to guess the celebrity from just a portion of their faces—I wouldn’t be able to recognize the eyebrows between Sly Stalone, Kenny Rogers, and Al Pacino. ---
