# Home made insecticides

I have a shit ton of plants. A few months ago I brought home a rare plant, which in my excitement to acquire I apparently didn’t inspect it closely enough. Now all god’s chillins got spider mites.

Looking for home remedies I find basically two different recipes:

–one includes, among other ingredients, vinegar and baking soda  
–the other includes soap and oil

Don’t those pairs of ingredients cancel each other out?
