Funny how Morrell won’t entertain the possibility that doing NOTHING might have been better than bloodletting, blistering, mercury and all other manner of toxic and dangerous treatments employed during that era. Examples from the formative years of science based medicine are of little value today when you ignore all of history that has transpired since then. The fact of the matter is that homeopathy has done little to validate its claims in the 150 to 200 yrs it has been in existence. This is proven over and over by homeopathy adherents clinging to (and waving about) fatally flawed studies, isolated/anecdotal cases and the one or two rigorous studies that might show an effect (but may also, very likely, be due to chance). In contrast, evidence based medicine is quick to embrace change and revision when presented with proper evidence. Evidence based medicine is also willing to take criticism when warranted and learn from mistakes and bad outcomes (they are even willing to publish their treatment shortcomings). Any evidence that doesn’t corroborate the faith of a homeopath is rejected and Homeopaths will go to great lengths to ignore serious flaws in pro-homeopath research. **It amazes me how homeopaths are so willing to swallow crap like Elia** and then claim to be somehow a scientific discipline. Homeopathy is no more scientific or reliable than faith healing. Jon ---
