I jokingly told someone recently the it should not be Homo Sapien - Intelligent Ape, but instead should be Should Have Know Better Ape. But what would that be? Homo? ---

To be further pedantic, “homo sapiens sapiens” means “the man who thinks about thinking,” to reflect our (supposedly) unique self awareness. Which suggests the alternative might be the Latin for “the man who only thinks he’s thinking,” or some such. ---
