we have in the last few decades had a liberation of homosexuals in the west and some say it’s fine while others say it’s bad

but i would like to take this a step longer and try to See what consequences it have for society and us all. Does this liberation make society more vulgar?

My opinion is yes it does. I’m not against homosexuals as such and would not refuse those who are gay to live their own life, but do they need to push their lifestyle into others face? The last two decades we have seen more and more of those gay parades, and even in TV we see today, on a daily basis, commercials, series and such which tries to integrate gay “culture” in our society.

3-4 decades ago homosexual practice where forbidden by law in most nations in the west and i would not return that, but i feel that the gays (and especially their organization) push their case to the limit.
I feel that gay people have an agenda to push more and more vulgar homosexual “things” into our culture. I think this is dead wrong and i fear what our western societies will look like in a decade or two.
I would like to hear what you (and especially homosexuals) think about this

Define gay “culture” and we’ll have a good place to start. Heck, while you’re at it, come up with a definition of the gay “lifestyle”.

What do you mean by “vulgar”? Straight sex is also a lot more socially visible than it was in the '50s. There has been a general relaxation of social rules and a broadening of what is considered acceptable to discuss in mixed company or show on television. You might object to that trend in itself, but since it is there, why should gays be excluded from it?

why can’t the gays have their lifestyle in private?

Psst, you still haven’t defined the gay “lifestyle” (nor gay “culture”), so this one is hard to answer.

Exactly HOW are homosexual pushing their “lifestyle” into everybody’s face? Nobody is forcing you to watch a gay movie, TV show or parade, read a gay book, buy a gay product. Gay people just want to be able to be acknowledged as people.

They’re here; they’re queer, get use to it.

my definition if gay culture is mostly liked to sexuality

gay culture is the traditionally lifestyle of gays, and this is something that they often tries to push into the society and make it so visual as possible for everybody

They can. Many do. But why **should** they? I mean, why should they be expected to be any more discreet about their “lifestyle” than straight people are?

Do you need to push your poor typing into other’s faces?

Man alive, **Minotaurus** , I understand that english may not be your first language, but could you at least capitalise the first letter of sentences? It would make reading your posts much easier on the eyes.

Oh, yeah, also, what **Annie-Xmas** said: firstly, there is no such thing as “gay culture” (at least, not in the sense that there is one set of cultural practices that all homosexual people follow), and secondly, even if one existed, I fail to see any evidence of it being “pushed in people’s faces”- unless you mean gay pride parades and the like, which are no more offensive than the demonstrations of any group united by common beliefs (such as religous festivals, for instance).

have you ever thought about the fact that the vast majority, while they accept that gay are practising their lifestyly, finds gays sex to be sickening?

we are not expecting nor promotes that gays should stop having sex with each other, but we don’t accept that this is showed into our faces. We don’t like to see two men are kissing each other on a public place

1. I don’t think that’s true any more, and

2. If it is true, why should it be the gays’ problem? Why should they hide their practices for the sake of your delicate sensibilities?

Perhaps you should stop going to see live gay sex shows then. I certainly have never in my entire life seen homosexuals have sex with one another.

I don’t like to see any two people making out heavily in public places, regardless of sexuality, but I don’t have a problem with anyone giving their partner a simple kiss, regardless of sexuality. Who is this “we” you speak of?

because homosexuality aren’t normal, but the society have given gay’s some slack because they don’t like to opress people

This is a community which has been ostracized for centuries, its practices spoken of as abominations, its members criminalized, jailked, executed. You don’t think they should be given a little leeway to celebrate their sexuality, to proclaim it from the rooftops, now that society is finally treating them with something approaching respect?

If they want to let off a little steam for the next fifty years or so, then more power to them. They have every right. Why not celebrate with them, **Minotaurus** , rather than begrudging their visibility?

What it is, is inevitable. In every race, nation, ethnic group, religion, region, town, city, generation, a certain number have a same-sex orientation. It has always been so despite vigorous social pressure and sometimes state pressure to suppress it. It will always be so. If anything not preferred by the majority is “not normal,” well, there are lots of “not normal” things we’re all accustomed to seeing pretty often.
