have you ever thought about the fact that the vast majority, while they accept that gay are practising their lifestyly, finds gays sex to be sickening?
You still haven’t defined ‘gay lifestyle’ or proven it exists

I DO expect bigots like you to stop being bigotted and not to display you prejudice in public.
why can’t the gays have their lifestyle in private?
Because you are implying that there is something to be ashamed of in their lifestyle by demanding that they hide it so well that you can pretend they don’t exist or are so few as not to matter. Two people who love or even lust after each other is no more vulgar or shameful in homosexuals than it is in heterosexuals.

If you want to discuss whether or not sex has become too open in our society, period, that’s fine, but trying to shame gays back into the closet is as likely to be successful as an attempt to shame women back into being chattel to their husbands and male relatives, or blacks back into Jim Crow segregation.

> because homosexuality aren’t normal, but the society have given gay’s some slack because they don’t like to opress people

On the contrary, homosexuality is entirely normal, in the sense that it is (as best we can tell) a product of natural factors, not least of which are some genetic ones; furthermore, homosexuality has existed in every society in history, and I might go so far as to say we as a society are more “abnormal” in failing to accept homosexuality as a fact of life than many (most?) socieities; and, lastly, the incidence of homosexuality and bisexuality is likely much greater than the tiny minority of “abnormal” individuals you seem to assume. Homosexuality is as “normal” as being black, or Christian, or any other minority designator you care to name.

Furthermore, I wish both to take exception to the statement that “the vast majority of people find gay sex disgusting”, firstly because I don’t think its true, and secondly because even if they did, it wouldn’t matter one whit. Liberal societies (of which I and, I assume, you, are members) exist to protect the individual from the prejudices of the majority.

Once you’ve done that, I will seriously consider doing the same for my boyfriend.

Y’know, I was walking down the street today, and what do you think I saw? Why, some Christians praying! In **broad daylight**! Can you believe that a bunch of people were conducting an unnatural practice\*, that I’m certain the vast majority of people are squicked out by (because I am, and I like to project my prejudices onto the mass of the population to bolster my self-confidence and protect me from accusations of bigotry), and were thrusting it in our faces? Sure, they might be allowed to practice in it private (although, frankly, I’d begrude them even that), but to do it in a public setting is just ludicrous.

Don’t get me started on the way that the Christian lifestyle is being forced on us! Hell, it’s one the goddamn currency! How dare a minority\*\* try to make us participants in their twisted “culture”. Y’know, perhaps I’ll go start a Pit thread on this subject. Actually, on second thoughts, I’ll put it in Great Debates, so that I can shroud my intolerance in a facade of reasoned arguments. Personal attacks on me for the raving bigot I am are also less likely in one of the more polite forums.

\*Worship has at least as much right to the “unnatural” designator as does homosexuality.
\*\*In my country.

Well actually Minotaurus, if you read my post, you’ll find that not only did I not attack your spelling mistakes (simply asked you to capitalise the first letter of sentences, which is easy), I went on to make a counter-argument against one of your points **in the next paragraph**. Which you have failed to address.

Which might perhaps leave you open to the suggestion that you lack a valid argument against what I posted\*, and prefer to resort to false accusations of _ad hominem_ attacks to conceal your lack of valid points.

\*I’ll repost it, just for you:

> Oh, yeah, also, what Annie-Xmas said: firstly, there is no such thing as “gay culture” (at least, not in the sense that there is one set of cultural practices that all homosexual people follow), and secondly, even if one existed, I fail to see any evidence of it being “pushed in people’s faces”- unless you mean gay pride parades and the like, which are no more offensive than the demonstrations of any group united by common beliefs (such as religous festivals, for instance).

It’s extremely difficult to understand the topic you’ve presented (as bigoted as it is) with the way you present your posts. You’ve been here a little while now. Take a hint from the other posts you read. Really. Use proper English capitalization and punctuation rules. Try a spell check. PROOFREAD, for Pete’s sake. Typos are one thing and expected in a lot of posts. Your posts are practically impossible to read.

Try that, then maybe we can try to debate you.

Oh, but you can’t ignore them because they’re all “in your face.” Yeah, Gays control the media. We staged a coup against the Jews awhile back.
What do you mean by “vulgar”? Straight sex is also a lot more socially visible than it was in the '50s. There has been a general relaxation of social rules and a broadening of what is considered acceptable to discuss in mixed company or show on television. You might object to that trend in itself, but since it is there, why should gays be excluded from it?
I think this is the answer right here. The fact that there is more openness, vulgarity, and “in-your-face-ness” about homosexuality is just part of there being more openness, vulgarity, and in-your-face-ness about sexuality in general.
I feel that gay people have an agenda to push more and more vulgar homosexual “things” into our culture.

I suspect there’s a relatively small but vocal and attention-seeking minority of gay people about whom this is true. I suspect you could say the same thing about heterosexuals.

You know, it really is that simple. The OP says he doesn’t want to return the “bad old days” when gays were systematically oppressed, and yet that is exactly what he’s proposing.

I’d like to ask the OP exactly which aspects of a gay couple’s relationship he feels it’s OK to be public about.
