Yet in the OP of the thread that we are now in, you say you don’t associate with homosexuals or fornicators. What is the difference? Can you explain? And how do you tell if a person is gay, or is a fornicator? Do the latter go around with a big “F” embroidered on their chest? ---

Does that mean it’s due to be torn down soon? Is it safe to enter the homosexuality, or is the superstructure so weak it will collapse? Does that mean a hard hat is needed? I always thought a lubricant and condom were all I needed. Now I have to worry about homosexuality falling over because it’s been condemned and soon to be demolished? _sigh_ I surrender. Bring on the heterosexuality. ---

This stuff would be more fun if the people didn’t wuss out as soon as they saw that they didn’t know anything about the subject. But I guess running away and closing your eyes and ears is a necessary part of the judgmental, I-speak-for-God lifestyle. ---

I could have a locust fricassee. Except nobody is sure just what species of locust are kosher. Hair shirts AFAIK are more of a Christian prophet thing. From an old book of Jewish folklore. And isn’t it difficult to find people who are **not** fornicators? To not be one, you have to either be a lifelong celibate, or you have to stay virgin untill marriage. Two rather small minorities, I’d think. ---

I think its that “religious” people have hang ups about sex, myself. Thats what makes it such a worse sin than others, supposedly. So many fundies think its all about sex, thats all they live for.(gays) :smack: ---

Seems to me the OP has an irresoluble contradiction. Best indications to date is that homosexuality is inborn, and I find that entirely plausible. People, as a general rule, do not choose lives of rejection and social isolation. To what end, then, does God create people who are inherently bent towards behavior he will not condone. We are all, as I understand it, born with an ample supply of sinful tendencies, who needs more? But are we to believe that God, out of sheer arbitrary malice, chooses some of His children to carry an extra burden of sinful tendencies, just for shits and giggles? Eenie, meenie, minie, homo? Such a God would not be worthy of worship, such a God would be worthy only of contempt and disdain as heartless, cruel, and reckless. ---
