# Homosexuality = Sin? (Read OP before posting please)

Don’t worry about **Polycarp** – he has that effect on people. Thanks to him, I not only had my copy of the Bible, but also a specialized book on the Gospels, the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer, the Hymnal, and a small collection of prayers sitting next to my computer up until the start of Lent, and some of those are now migrating back and forth!

**CanvasShoes** , you have my sympathies. I can’t imagine belonging to a church which would outlaw something which gives as much joy as dancing does, but I know old teachings can be hard to unlearn – I’ve been having a crash course in that recently. For what it’s worth, you do realize that dance has been used as a form of worship by Christians as well as by followers of other religions, right? You might want to try it sometime on your own.

Enough hijacks. I get the impression some Christians tend to conflate homosexuality and bisexuality with promiscuity. I guess the idea is, “How else can you identify your sexuality other than by acting on it?” Also, stories about homosexual promiscuity seem to get a lot more play in the newspapers than stories about heterosexual promiscuity. Over at the Pizza Parlor, a newspaper article about gay men hooking up in the bathroom at a college was posted for comment. I was pleased to note that someone else asked why this was considered newsworthy when heterosexual sex at college parties wasn’t.
