I’m actually not sure if **Contrary** was referring to the nitpicks from **Mama Tiger** and myself, or the responses he got to his query from \*\* Sejal\_Traurig\*\* and **UncleBeer**. Either way, I’m not worried, I don’t think I did anything wrong by pointing out that little editorial oversight and if he was referring to my nitpicking I’m not going to lose sleep over it. **Contrary** Actually, although **UncleBeer** may have seen my response, when I replied, no one else had pointed out that the answer had, indeed, been given in the text. Well, like I said, I had hell coming up with a title, here. “Hookas at da point?” “Ho’s up, chumps down?” Several ideas occurred to me, but I always kind of felt that there’s a limit as to how much street jive jargon a white guy can get away with using in one lifetime. And I was young. I mean, I expected to pay for it, I just never expected it to be quite so… freakin’ … mercenary, you know? Guess I learned better. And yes, I didn’t edit the thing anywhere near as well as I should have. I wrote the thing in a white heat in an hour, yesterday morning… y’know, when the memories are bubblin’, and it’s get it down or risk losing it? As it was, I left a BUNCH of stuff out… ---

**Contrary** , my apologies. Now that you mention it, I do believe I saw a reference in a previous thread which identified you as female. I will endeavor, probably unsuccesfully, to remember this in the future. I usually try to use usernames and avoid pronouns in replies to other posters. This allows me to avoid both gender mixups and ensure the targets of my reply clearly know who they are. By the time I had typed [**b][**/b] the four times for the usernames I had already used I figured pronouns would be easier and I ended up screwing around with your gender. Sorry about that. **Wang-Ka** , no biggie. Happy to help with editorial stuff actually. We’ve got several professional editors on the site, our own **Ukelele Ike** is one IIRC and a fellow Texan **Chef Troy** is a copy editor for a magazine as well. There is no shame in posting an unpolished work. The editorial comments are actually praise, if we didn’t like the work why would we spend effort helping you make it better? Enjoy, Steven ---
