In [this thread,](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=93659) we’ve been talking about a Hoosier Dopefest. I need to confirm who is in and who is out. The present best date is Friday, November 30 through Saturday, December 01. Unfortunately, there is a (away) Notre Dame football game that was postponed to the above date. Two of our Dopers, Horowitz and Winkie, seem committed to attending the game. Dragwyr has a performance committment on that date. I would recommend a Mishawaka hotel, as that would place you in the epicenter of everything there is around here to see and do. As it goes Kremit334 and I may not be able to make it. Just so happens that is the weekend before finals and I have a feeling my finals are going to suck big time. Not exactly sure on that though. Once I get word from my profs and see whether or not I’m going to be busy studying my life away I’ll get back to ya and confirm it for sure. ---

I’d really, really love to go, and I’m free that weekend…but I don’t have a car :(. I’m in Valparaiso (attending the University), so getting to Mishawaka would be a trip and a half. And I don’t mean in the fun kind of way, either. Dangit, and I really wanted to do this too. Sorry…I could have kept **Dryfreeze** company away from the bar (being 18 and all). ---

Ack! I said “maybe” not yes! 😉 And it’s looking more and more like a no every time I look at it - I’m awfully shy and I hardly know anyone, and that’s the last weekend of freedom before Evil Christmas Hours begin and I’m working 14 hours a day every day ☹ Leave it at a tentative “I’ll see” - you guys all still intimidate me! And my debauchery partner is in Australia … 🙂 ---

All right, here’s my deal: It seems I will have to hurry home to Indy from the Purdue-Notre Dame (GO BOILERS!) for a wedding reception/party thing for some good friends who are getting married out of state. So I’m out for this one. Someone drink a beer or two for me (but no more than two – I’m quite the cheap date:) ) I am up for helping plan/host an Indianapolis/Central Indiana Dopefest after the holidays … 'cuz I really want to meet you guys! ---
