My sleep cycle’s a mess again, but hopefully I can get sorted out this coming week. Today’s agenda mostly involves deheathenizing and figuring out this week’s game plan with DH, once he’s awake. Stupid cat isn’t helping him get any sleep, what with doing the “door yo-yo” bit and getting vocal about it. Over on TVTropes, there’s a mention of Siamese coming equipped with embedded caps-lock key, and I think that’s true. ---

I has proper blurf today- is apple day at the orchard, and I was s’posed to be helping chop apples up to be pressed from 10am, but didn’t wake up 'til 12.30… Oops. This job is playing merry hell with my already weird sleeping habits. Went down there anyway to apologise for not showing, and got given a bag of apples, and enough juice to make almost a gallon of proper (ie, alchomaholic) cider. Hope it works… Anyway, I’m off to go patrol an empty car park in the rain again. What an interesting life I have! ---

I tried pumpkin beer once. It tasted like beer and pumpkins. Went out to a play last night. A 29-year-old composer who has a sweet tooth and worries about being unsuccessful - does that description apply to the main character of the play, or to me? Both! My mother is going to visit us today because it’s near her birthday. I should be working on stuff. I’m getting caught up with online stuff at the moment. Then maybe I’ll have lunch, and get to working on crafts. ---

I stayed up until 4:00 this morning, and then slept until about 8:00. Got up, made some coffee and put a pot roast in the slow cooker. In eightish hours we shall have din-din. I don’t plan to do anything but hang out here at home. I should knock out some grocery shopping because they’re getting ready to go on strike, but I think we’re good for now. And no, I won’t be crossing the picket line at my regular grocery store. I see those folks all the time, and have for years, and I’d just feel weird doing it. Costco won’t be affected by the strike (other than LOTS more people will be going there), so I can always go there. It’s kind of dreary out right now and it’s definitely fall weather. Yesterday, the fog never really lifted, so it was dreary then too. At least it wasn’t raining. ---

Well that was a weird way to wake up. I hear a F-250/350 diesel engine running outside, step out to find a HFD Haz-Mat truck, Fire Marshall and Two HPD cruisers. Looks like they took my Fire Fighter neighbor to the gaol. I am guessing the she is in big trouble. When the Fire Cops and the real Cops come for you it is usually bad. Happy Sunday all Had a pleasant night with the Hippies last night, Everyone was happy and so was I. Need more coffee. Cheers **Jim** ---

Sorry, I should have been clearer, but coffee had not yet entered my bloodstream in sufficient quantities. Haz-Mat supervisor’s vehicle from the station two blocks away(not her station). Not what you want to see parked in front of the sto. ---

No equipment came to the bldg, the F-350 was a tool body truck not the big OMG Haz-Mat!!! RUN truck I see on occasion. Last time I saw that one in action was when the neighbors hit the 600psi gas line while digging a trench with a Ditch-Witch, that was special BTW. I quit - I could only manage an hour bent over, standing on a slope. I did get 2 of the 7 bags planted, so there’s that, and I have the sprinkler going right now, helping them all get settled in. If I can make myself do about an hour every afternoon after work, I can get the rest in by next weekend. We shall see how that goes. Monday and Tuesday will be good days, but it looks like a front is coming thru on Weds, with chance of rain and definite drop in temps. I’ll figger it out as I go along. It’s time for a break\* \\*, then maybe I’ll try making pretzels… or I’ll be a bum and assume the knit position. No biggie either way. Meanwhile, I’m having a cold beverage and giving my back a break. ---

Howdy Y’all! I have deheathenated (got drafted for ush duties due to one ush bein’ inabstentia due to a sinus infection), had N.O.L. (chili and cornbread, so stay upwind), and had a nappy poo. Now I have a load of laundry on. Nice, lazy day. **Jim** it would have been more interestin’ if’n it had been a domestic dispute that involved callin’ out the HazMat team. 😃 ---
