I almost didn’t do it. I figured it’s almost over. A little over a month to go. No need to get all head-explody about it. It’s Bush, there’s a reason why journalists hurl shoes at his fucking head. But when I keep it buried, it simmers. It makes me angrier and angrier and I feel I must froth a bit at the mouth in order to let go. The ones who are sitting around, not bothered at all that he broke the law. The ones who attack whistle blowers and then vote to make crimes legal retroactively once they’ve been identified. Highest on my list are the concern trolls who fret that Obama can’t prosecute criminal behavior because it would be too partisan. ---

I keep wondering what set off the shoecidal bomber. Was it spontaneous or planned? If it was spur of the moment, was it something specific that Bush said? Or maybe Bush did one of those inappropriate-to-the-subject-matter smirks and the guy just lost it. Be great to see the guy interviewed, if he’s still alive. ---

Let’s get this thread back on track. The motherfucking asshole who got us into that mess, one of their rationales (after the lack of WMD etc) was “we’ll fight them over there instead of over here”. Except they **weren’t there**. They were (at that point) \*\*in the other fucking country we’d invaded \*\* ( remember Afghanistan?). So, instead of, like fighting them **where they fucking were, where we were, along w/a coalition of other world forces** this fucking insane monster, decided to open yet another fucking war, pouring more resources there, pulling them away from where Al Queda was, and getting them to yet another place. ---

Many (most?) of them weren’t in Afghanistan, they **didn’t fucking exist.** Bush has created them. Every time we kill an innocent civilian, that person’s family becomes a sworn enemy of the US. Every person we kill in an airstrike probably results in five more men willing to bear arms against us (fathers, sons, uncles, brothers, friends, etc…) It’s exactly what the Russians discovered in Afghanistan in the early 80s. Every enemy they killed produced several more. I knew that because I read it in Reader’s Digest in 7th grade. (Seriously- my seventh grade teacher had shelves full of RD and I remember that article vividly.) Too bad nobody at the Pentagon subscribed to RD in the mid 80s. ---

Its kinda the reverse of the Xmas tree effect, when the number of unopened presents dwindles down, no more surprises: that one was a box of chocolate covered monkey 'nads, this one was the head of Alfredo Garcia, another a sweater that doesn’t fit and itches like it was knitted from poison ivy…and that’s it, all done, all surprises past, time to get drunk and contemplate genetics, how it is that yours is the weirdest fam damnily in the whole world… Sadly, no. Much has been revealed, most of it revolting, some of it damning, and it would be nice to think that there are no brightly wrapped boxes of goat leprosy still under the tree… But no. ---

I’ll pit his sneaky unraveling of certain environmental laws. Since Obama will rollback anything he does (even if it takes 6 months), the only reason to do it is to give the new administration a hearty “Fuck You!” right before he leaves office. The man has no shame and has not learned a single thing while in office. ---
