Horrible movies with really great original soundtracks

The 1998 Jack Frost starring Michael Keaton has a killer version of “Frosty the Snowman”.

Then the whole thing goes downhill like Clark Griswold on his saucer sled.

Well I wouldn’t call it a horrible movie, just a forgetable B or C movie but one of the best original sound tracks that I like was from Eddie and the Cruisers.

Music by the Beaver Brown Band. Whole album is great.

200 Motels. One of the VERY worst films ever released, but IMHO the soundtrack has always been one of Frank Zappa’s five greatest albums.

Absolutely. Better lead cast for one. Losing Belushi hurt.

I really like The Highlander movie, but I believe it’s considered a cult classic. So, a B movie? The soundtrack by Queen is great.

The Joel Schumacher Batmans sucked balls, but they both had awesome soundtracks. “Batman Forever” gave us Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose,” U2’s “Hold Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, Thrill Me,” and PJ Harvey’s “One Time Too Many.” I still have the album in my regular rotation. And “Batman and Robin” was a great collection of late-90s alt-rock, with tracks by Smashing Pumpkins, Goo Goo Dolls, R.E.M. and Lauren Christy

Rob Zombie made a reasonably good Halloween remake - then he followed it up with the worst possible sequel in every way possible, except for mid movie when Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures were introduced -

Prince had a worthy entry but it was Under the Cherry Moon, winner of 5 Razzies from 8 nominations including worst picture.

The soundtrack album Parade however sold 2 million copies, charted at 3 in the pop charts and 2 in the R&B charts. It was NME’s album of the year.
