I’m a man in my mid 20s, and like virtually all healthy men my age, I’ve been cursed with a very strong sex drive. My social interactions with women are ridiculously minimal, so if I want sex, prostitution is more or less my only option. I usually take a 2 hour to trip to Kansas city, MO to engage in it because the options are far more plentiful there than they are in the town I live in. I can say with confidence that the vast majority of experiences I’ve had have left me feeling like the services I was provided was not nearly worth the money. Some of the experiences I left feeling outright scammed and ripped off. It legitimately scares me to think of the money Ive wasted on prostitutes. Just last week, I spent $150 on a 30 minute session and had a very pleasant experience, by far the best out of all of them. But $150 is not a small sum of money for anyone making a median salary. And it’s not like this chick was a supermodel either. She was around a “6” on a 1-10 scale. $150 could have paid for one of the following: a nice pair of air Jordans, a months worth of groceries, a month and a half worth of gas, or a minor car repair. With the amount of overall money I’ve spent, I could have paid for several months worth of food or gas, a brand new wardrobe, a major car repair or perhaps even a used dirtbike. I’ve honestly been through so much bullshit just to have _paid_ sex. I can’t even imagine the amount of bullshit I’d have to go through to get “free” sex. ---

I must be an outlier as I have never in my 56 years paid a professional for sex. Even when I was younger I knew how to go out, do something I enjoyed, talk to the women who were also there, and find someone I can connect with. Then I would make sure she got passing out drunk. Hey, it was the Eighties. A different time. ---

The driving thought that occupied me the last time I was in KCMO was “How soon can I get the fuck out of here?” I was there for a funeral so that might have somewhat influenced my mental state, but there was absolutely nothing there, from the road-kill splattered rental car with a smoke-stank interior to the pothole-saturated streets and abandoned cars scattered in the median every few miles that made me think even for a moment, “I should come back here when the weather is nicer and see how things have changed.” As for the o.p., seek help. I was concerned about getting through traffic so I left half an hour early and ended up waiting around for the funeral to start. To the OP, if you had traditional dates and girlfriends, most likely you’d have spent considerably more money. So maybe think of that way. But I don’t think money is the issue here. ---
