Recently, there was sad chuckling at Victor R. Stanwick’s attempt at humour when he asked why there are no horse statues with four feet off the ground:

> **[Do I sweat a liter every night?](https://www.straightdope.com/21344068/do-i-sweat-a-liter-every-night)**

To which Cecil replied that merry-go-rounds do indeed have just that. Whether such things can be considered “statues” is a debate I’ll leave for another day, but until then I suggest all concerned familiarize themselves with the art of David Cerny, including his St. Wenceslas:

A challenging and fun artist, and a horse statue with all four feet off the ground.

Kewl!

Incidentally, the joke from Victor upon which Cecil responded was sent in 10 years ago. So, those of you who have sent in questions for Cecil, I recommend patience (he gets several dozen questions a week.) I think this is probably a record, though. Most questions are only a few months old.
