Hot or Not sucks! Ok, it can be fun looking at thousands of males or females and judging them based off outward appearances :rolleyes:, but I mostly get on to meet new people across the world. In fact, I have talked to several people overseas, and held conversations with them for months at a time. Lately though, I have been trying to talk to people in my area, with no luck whatsoever. Are these people simply shallow, or incredibly timid? Conversations, if they get started at all, end after one or two exchanges. This is fine and all if I am boring, or they just don’t like how I look, but you can’t just write anybody- you can only write your matches. If you write somebody and they don’t like you, they can delete you from thier matches. Guess what? They don’t! Imagine that, perhaps these people are simply collecting matches, not interested at all in writing. Bah, Hot or Not pisses me off sometimes. It is great talking with people all over the world, but once you try talking to these shallow, insipid Missourians, forget it. They aren’t here to write and maybe even meet. Just preen and show off, collecting as many “matches” (read: people that think your “cute”) as possible. Oh, and what is this 8.5 rating bullshit. I sure as hell know that when 70% of your votes land on 5 or less, and you have no 10s whatsoever, there is no way in hell that an 8.5 is possible. I also know from experience that I am not nearly that good looking. 😛 Ok, lame rant, I know- feel free to spice it up with your own aggrevations. ---

Is the OP one big whoosh? This site is called _Hot or Not_ for christ’s sake. You think it’s all about meeting people and building great, long-lasting friendships? ---

And why could a site named Hot or Not be a good place to make friends? I see your point of view, but really- it has a good format and has potential for good use. I have already talked to 4 different people on the site, I only ran into a problem when I tried to communicate with those in my area. Plus its cheap. ---

Could it be that people from far away feel safer talking to you because there is no chance of a RL interaction. Theres always the possibility when your talking to someone in the same state that he might be a crazy stalker or something and it’s better to be safe than sorry. ---

Silly me. Here I thought this was about how you didn’t care _who_ you got oral sex from. Reading the OP though…seems like your problem is not so much with Hot or Not as with…Missouri perhaps you should move 😉 . ---

I love the site for one reason: the day someone told me about it, I spent about 5 minutes surfing it before happening on a pic of my ex. And not just an ex, this one started seeing a guy behind my back, got me to pay to get her car fixed, dumped me in public the next day by introducing me to her new boyfriend, and then told all my friends I was cheating on her just to get them pissed at me. For a good while there I had a proxy bot set up putting in a 1 vote every five minutes. The small joys of life. ---
