I guess I just meant that there are SOME men who will choose a girl who they don’t find that attractive (and alcohol was probably involved) and have sex with them, but they don’t think too highly of them otherwise. It’s probably actually more about the guy than it is the girl. In my case, it probably does relate to the fact that I’ve met the guys in the wrong type of environment. ---

My depression is at its zenith these days, so I’m a 4. When I’m not so depressed, I’m probably more like a 5. When I was young and thin, I looked (so I was told) like either Laurie Anderson or Rickie Lee Jones. ---

I’m a solid 2.5, though I rounded it up to 3. When I’m wearing my tux, I clean up to about a 4 at best. When I was younger, I think I may have gotten up to 6 or so. The one thing I’m grateful for is that my partner has horrible taste in men. He’s a 10 (not just my opinion), and is not ashamed to be seen with me. ---

I am just isolating two men I know in particular, who literally keep ugly and/or fat chicks around for “emergency needs.” But like I said, I know that’s only 2 men out of millions, though I suspect of those millions, many more than 2 do that. ---

65 yrs old, hair is thinning, a little on the short side at 5’7" about 20# overweight but I still seem to do well with the ladies so I gave myself a 7 based on age appropriate women. I believe attitude strongly affects how we look, more so with men. I use my attitude to make up for looks. ---

I rate myself a solid, middle-of-the-pack 5 (I’m a middle-aged man). I did that only because I really have no idea how to rate my looks. I don’t think I’m particularly good-looking. I’m tall and very thin, and I have crooked teeth (should have had braces as a kid, but didn’t). And I have really, really long hair and wear very old-fashioned glasses. I don’t think I’m very good-looking at all. I think I’m probably a 3. But there is a subset of women (not a big subset, but enough to notice) who think I’m good-looking. I can’t figure it out, but they exist. Enough so that I’ve noticed it over the years. I have no idea what that means. It’s certainly true that the women with whom I’ve had relationships over the years are all kind of crazy, one way or another. ---

Frankly, I looked a _lot_ like that, at your age. I probably would have given myself a 5, but oddly enough, a few very pretty women seemed to think I was cute. I rated myself above average, though I was doing it based on my age. I’m 55, have all my hair, still lean, and that baby face I didn’t like as a youth worked out to be not so terrible later on. ---

Yes, thank goodness for goddesses with … unusual taste! That said, my love life got a LOT better when I stopped looking for the flaws in beautiful women and started searching for the beauty in normal women. I got that clue from a guy on my dorm wing, probably smartest person I ever met. Most guys complained that there were no women to date. This guy had regular dates, though the other guys teased him about them (they weren’t movie stars). But I noticed that every one of his dates had something seriously interesting going for her. And genius didn’t spend the weekend alone. CLUE! It took a while for the lesson to sink in, and I wish I had those years back. ---

I gave myself a 5. I think I’m about a 2, and at times have been told I’m a 9 by others, so I did the math and rounded up. Looking at old photos (really old photos), I see that I might have been a solid 9 then. Sad that at the time, I would have scored myself 1 or lower. ---
