# Hotmail, safari, and cookies

I just tried to log out of hotmail using safari. It says that I cannot because I do not accept cookies. However, I checked and safari is set to accept all cookies. What is up with that?

Your cookies are probably corrupted. If so, you need to [clear them](http://support.verio.com/documents/view_article.cfm?doc_id=4069). As that guide shows, you can first try just removing any that have to do with Hotmail. If that doesn’t work, clear them all. But you’ll have to log back in to every other website, too.
