Tonight, House deals with a man who’s been in a coma for years. Of course, there’s more to it than that…something to do with the man’s son and some weird genetic component. I wonder if the cop will keep hounding House, and for how long. ---

This had better be good after the switcheroo they pulled last night with the commericals saying “House on a special night and time.” My girlfriend and I were all ready, and then we saw it was a rerun from at least a season ago. Boo hiss. ---

I’ve been staring at Hugh Laurie’s face all day on a Yahoo! banner ad for House. I’m looking forward to seeing John Larroquette as the coma patient. ---

Let me just say I LOVE John Larroquette. I’d watch an entire series that revolved around him eating dinner. I’m not holding out any hope but I would love to see him guest star now and again. ---

In the real world, couldn’t House just file a harassment complaint against this cop that seems so obsessed with him and he would be forced to either drop his investigation of House or turn it over to someone else? ---

[/QUOTE] I doubt it would work. The cop has probably done a handwriting analysis of the prescription pads, which would give him more than enough to justify the investigation. Forging a prescription is a serious enough crime that they aren’t going to drop it. The episode was pretty good and I did like the dilemma at the end and what Laroquette ended up doing. ---

Could someone post a recap - because my TiVo decided that I really didn’t need to see House tonight. (It had the right information. New episode mark, correct description. Yet, it didn’t record) Not sure why not. But I don’t have it. It plans on taping next week’s though. Or so it tells me. ---

I’d think that after 10 years in a PVS, his muscles would atrophied too much for him to be up and walking around. ---

[/QUOTE] You know, they actually addressed that- House mentioned that he moves around and his muscles are “barely atrophied.” Nice that they at least gave a passing nod to it. Loved the character development in this one. I want to bring Wilson home and cuddle him. ---

Not only did a medical miracle occur bringing him out of a ten-year coma, but he was as good as new. Or better. Then, even in this day and age, the local police can freeze Wilson’s assets just on suspicion of not telling the truth about the prescriptions??? Then the Larroquette character commits suicide in Atlantic City, and by some miracle his body is suddently back in the hospital, all prepped for the heart transplant??? There were some interesting parts where House’s background was brought out, and he actually seemed introspective for a few seconds. 😃 And, finally, a character whose assholeness matched House’s! Maybe next week they’ll revive him again, sans heart. ---

[/QUOTE] I was wondering what the hell Wilson was doing in the casino, I thought he sure got drunk hella-fast, then he called out to faux-House and I got it. I wish I had a buddy like Wilson. Everybody needs a Wilson. With my luck, my Wilson would probably end up being more like the one from the movie Castaway. ---

[/QUOTE] The good as new part was hard to believe, but the sudden awakening is not implausible. Did you see the movie _Awakenings_? [L-dopa](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L-dopa) has been seen to bring temporary full remission from comas due to encephalitis lethargica and other conditions. Laroquette is brilliant at playing psychopaths. Do any of you remember his recurring role in _The Practice_? Seems a stretch from his role in _Night Court_, but then again that guy had quite a sarcastic mean streak, IIRC. ---

Actually, I think they probably could freeze Wilson’s assets under the seizure laws if they made a drug case against him. If they say he was writing fraudulant prescriptions, especially if they build an intent to distribute, they can seize cars, homes, anything used in the commission of the crime. Here in TN, they can seize funds for non-payment of taxes for the illegal drug activitiies. In fact, in the state of TN (my state) if you plan on illegally dealing drugs, you can go to the state dept. of revenue and prepay the tax and get vouchers for the amount prepaid. No questions asked. Note how our police friend used the “Everybody Lies” Line? He is such a paralel to House that I wonder who will win in the end… 😉 So who wants to bet that part of their confrontation takes them through that waterfall fountain in the hospital. (Let’s hope the cop gives House enough time to compose a letter to Dr Wilson explaining his fate) ---

[/QUOTE] Darn right, Wilson is in up to his eyeballs. He admitted to writing a bazillion prescriptions to supply a “dealer”, even the prescriptions that weren’t in his handwriting. ---

John Larroquette is phenomenal, but the cop guy is crossing over from hard ass cop to creepy weirdo really quickly. I liked how Foreman gave him the big brush off and got away with it. The interviews that all of them had with him were very much in keeping with the greater idea of their characters which I liked for some reason too. Anyone else want to see Cuddy just give up one day? ---
