It might have been earlier. She might have killed him during her tenure with the team and not told anybody, even Foreman, as there would be (from her POV) no possible good result in telling him. ---

Didn’t 13 shoot out a truck window and fall down from the recoil shooting that gun? I don’t know what that kid did with some girl to agree to drop it, but IRL House would be arrested on some serious charges if he did shoot him. The people running the competition wouldn’t think it was funny, either. ---

I think House would know enough as a doctor to inflict a non-lethal injury and could aim it accurately from that distance. Maybe he winged the kid or shot him in the meaty part of the thigh. Then his nemesis would have a limp and perhaps need a walking cane and a prescription painkiller, such as Vicodin. ---

I mean, there’s just no way to shrug off actually shooting someone with that thing - even if no serious injury resulted, that’s clear-cut assault. Aggravated, thanks to the weapon. No, my guess is that a rent-a-cop or other contestant ran up and stopped House. And there’s no way he ever gets to do that contest again. Shame - potato guns are neat! ---

BTW - I’d bet anything you like that real contests have incredibly strict rules about when and where you can actually fire. Harold’s greeting shot should have gotten him tossed. ---

Though there are obvious reasons to ask Thirteen out, I don’t think the kid was expressing genuine interest. He was simply insulting her and House. I have a friend whom I have to admit is fucked in the head in several ways similar to Thirteen. But while I might think that privately, I’d never say it so to anyone but her (and even to her only under limited circumstances). And if someone were taunting me with a remark like that, I’d be tempted to clock him. I _wouldn’t_, but I have superior self-control than House, and I can admit without it bothering me that I care about this woman instead of having it lurk under the surface, bothering me. ---
