Wasn’t mentioned in the article, but Susan McDougal and Christopher Wade were granted pardons, and both of them were ass-deep in the Whitewater scandal.

And how were they “convicted of crimes allegedly perpetrated on Clinton’s behalf”?
[QUOTE=elucidator]
Well, OK, bad news:GeeDubya tried to hire Tony Soprano to kill Helen Thomas. But, if the Dems try to make too much out of it, it could backfire!

Yes, luci I too find myself frequently gratified, mollified, and excitificated that Moto continues to show so much concern for the dirty libruls of the Democrat party.
Seriously, don’t the Republicans get it that it’s reasonable for Congress to hold a hearing on this commutation? Sure, Bush has the power to grant commutations, but it’s clear in this instance that he is using it to block investigation of activities by Bush Administration that ordinary citizens (as opposed to lawyers) would regard as treasonous. Congress has not only a right but a duty to investigate activities of that sort, whether Dubya has a “right” to conduct them or not.
I’m a little confused now. I thought it was long established, in some form, that Richard Armitage was the leaker? Had the White House not acknowledged this before?
