CNN has the somewhat annoying habit of cutting to commercials. In fairness, they keep the current tally on in a corner of the screen; the commercial does not fill the screen. But I can’t help thinking, “This round of voting is brought to you by …” ---

By my calculation just under 3.5million voted for the “Taliban 19”. If they were polled now would they be vociferously cheering their boys/girls on or hiding under their dooner saying “Gawd, What have I done?”? ---

I believe, unless there are a few absences, that a Present vote would not be enough. McCarthy would still be short 1. ---

Since Boebert voted present the number for McCarthy is 217 unless others vote present. Also watching the group surrounding Gaetz talking to him and his body language makes me think he’s not going to vote for McCarthy. But who knows at this point. ---
