Why is he blaming Gaetz? I didn’t think that Gaetz was one of the ones he flipped. He actually voted present which helped McCarthy. Also, can we just once again acknowledge just how good Pelosi was at this? She would never ever have let this happen. She is also brutal. She was interviewed about what McCarthy needed to do to win and she said “Just get it done”. Given how hard Boehner and Reed had it, it seems that Speaker is an even harder job than it seems. I don’t envy McCarthy the position. ---

I love the fact the wacky fact-free party is hostage to its wackiest fact-free-est fringe wackos. Who in turn are hostage to the wackiest of that bunch of wackos. They have sown and cultivated the whirlwind and now they shall reap a thousandfold what they have sown. Gerrymandering: proof that decisions have consequences. Particularly sticky consequences.
