You’d include _Gorillas in the Mist_ then? _King Kong_? _Planet of the Apes_? _Tarzan_? _The Lion King_? There’s going to be a lot of them. Also, do you want movies in which these animals make _any_ appearance at all, or only those in which one of them is a main character? For example, _The Fly_ (the modern remake) has a brief appearance by a hapless lab monkey (a baboon?) who is quickly converted into teleporter hamburger. ---

If I can stretch the definition of monkey to include a erson in a gorilla suit, then I’d highly recommend Schlock. For those who don’t know, Schlock is Animal House director John Landis’ first film. ---
