Satan and others, Here I am. I will stand up for my Braves. I will conceed that the better team did win this Series. Braves fans did not steal the chop from FSU. Deon Sanders (from FSU) was playing for the Braves and some of his FSU buddies started doing the chop at one of the games for him and others thought it was cool and they began chopping along and it grew to be adopted by our fans. That is not stealing. We did not see it on TV and copy it, it was from the FSU fans and Deon. As for the rest. Yes, we will still cheer for the Braves and support them. Yes, we have only won one WS in the 90s. But we have won 5 NLCS pennants in the 90s and the divsion every year since 91. While winning the WS more times would have been nice, we have had an incredible decade in the 90s. We went from one of the worst teams in the Majors to consistently one of the best. In fact in 90 we were the worst in our division. Teams like the Marlins and Padres have done well for a year or two and then drop out of contention. We have maintained our status since 91. With young blood like Millwood and others we will bring in, we will continue to dominate. BTW, I think Ted and Jane got a divorce. I do not care for either of them, but we do not get to pick our owners. Let the beating commence. Jeffery ---

And yet the Braves are still insisting they are the “team of the 90s” (it says so on their pennant rings). Let’s see, one title to show for a higher winning percentage and all those division titles (tells me a little bit about the NL East)… this somehow outweighs the Yankees’ 3 World Championships. The Braves GM said about the Team of the Decade (paraphrased): “Other than the narrow criteria of World Championships, we have them beat.” Sounds eerily similar to what us Nebraska fans are hearing from perennial ACC-champ FSU!! * * * “It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in an argument” - William McAdoo ---

That lame line of “So that is what the Braves were using for bats.” is not going to cut it. Is that the best you have got? If so, your image is highly overrated. Come, even Byz is better than that. Well, I’m in the midst of some vacation time and can only pop in sporadically, but I want my beating, too! I am truly embarassed at the effort the Braves offered during he World Series (and even part of the NLCS). Hitting has not been the Braves’ forte this year so I’ll pass on bashing our offense, but to forget how to field the ball - Arrgghh! The Braves looked like utter dolts in the field. Oh, and Cox was severely outmanaged. One of these days he’ll figure out that a 7 game series must be managed differently than a 162 game season. Well Manhattan, you will have to travel to Atlanta to see next years parade. I tell you what if you want to see it that badly, you come on down, fly, drive, walk, whatever, and I will put you up in my home and take you downtown for the big event. Until then is that the best you can do? Jeffery ---
