Does sexual immorality include pre-marital sex, gay sex, masturbation? Some Jewish interpretations would say so. Blasphemy- does that include denial of God and mild snark, or does it have to go to deliberate insult? ---

Oh, to the OP, in my memory, it only happened twice- both in the same year, a Church of Christ girl didn’t believe I was saved as I was not CoC AND a Jewish fellow thought he could talk me out of Christianity. To be fair, the girl turned around when I gave her a Scriptural justification to give her fellow CoCers for her divorcing a man who left her for another man; and the guy was kinda odd due to the influence of some prenatal meds his Mom took. Also, I think he thought I was a Jew unawares who should come back into the fold. ---

It really depends on two things: how hard they’re trying and how boring they are. I mean, if some guy hands me a Chick Tract I’m fucking ecstatic. I mean, it’s a **Chick Tract** , those things are comedy gold. If he pushes it and wants to talk to me? Then I’ll be mad. ---

The door knocking is the key. Message boards aren’t known for automatically interrupting you at home. However, witnessing your atheism in a thread about not-so-important religious minutiae is indeed annoying. For instance OP: “Where did the women that cain and abel marry come from?” Reply: “Who cares? It’s a fictional work about a fictional deity!” I don’t spew that same verbal diarrhea into threads in Cafe Society, practically all of which are about fictional worlds. Then again, some people _do_ do that (i.e. "herp a derp why do you care so much about LOTR, you know it’s not _real_, right?) That’s also annoying when it happens. It’s also not as bad as if someone knocked on your door and told you that Frodo doesn’t really exist. ---

Other: I actually feel a twinge of compassion for the pathetic twits who show up on my doorstep trying to show me the light. I am always polite, but find them mildly annoying, mostly because they are usually interrupting something. But if someone was rabidly persistent (which I’ve never experienced), I could theoretically become narked, which may potentially escalate to mad as a lorry, depending on how clueless they are. (Btw, what IS a lorry?) Additionally they remind me of what a horrible person I am… because even if I KNEW that saving you from your current state would prevent you from burning in hell for all eternity, I couldn’t be bothered to put forth the effort. I’m more of a live and let live kind of gal, so if you’re depending on me for your salvation, looks like you’re roasting in hell indefinitely. But if you try to save me and I’m not PMSing, I’m pretty much somewhere between compassionate for your pathetic efforts and mildly inconvenienced. ---

Curbside conversions never happen here. If someone stops me on the corner it is to sell whatever merchandise that have, be it batteries or toothpaste. It is not to say that they are not religious here but that - like me - religion is considered a personal matter.
