The back and forth over the exact details of the ICE training prior to the shooting of Renee Good has gone on long enough, it’s become a serious hijack. Take it to one of the other threads or spin off your own (hint hint). A discussion of if ICE and other federal agencies are de facto brownshirts is of course fine, or other fascist regimes.

That is actually the best method.
Unfortunately that very much is a “normal police force”.
ICE are new, poorly trained and overarmed, and for those reasons and more, worse than most regular police, admittedly. But not qualitatively different from the past century or two of American policing, just with more firepower.
The trend has been going the wrong direction for the past few decades, and that slope has accelerated downward recently. But it isn’t and hasn’t been a qualitative transformation. Folksy uncle types who looked just like Andy Griffith did this same stuff 75 years ago too. It’s an ongoing problem that is getting much worse in recent years, but not a new problem at all.
That’s awful weird, because every video of this murder I’ve seen Jonathan Ross was wearing a mask across his nose, mouth, and chin. In fact ALL of the ICE agents in the videos were wearing masks.
