I’ve run into a roadblock on a project I’m working on, which means I’ve gotten nothing productive done today. That was crummy. Then my sister dropped by my parents house to visit, was there all of 5 minutes before she stepped on the back porch to let her dog out and slipped and has either broken or dislocated her shoulder. Paramedics ensued. They’re waiting on X-rays at the hospital right now. Really, really crummy. ---

Not too shabby. Slow, easy day at work, no real problems except I have a stye in my eye and that mother hurts and itches like nobody’s business. This evening I am blissfully and gloriously alone until 10 pm, which is delightful. ---

Today was my first day off in nearly a month. I had a rather good day. I cleaned the hell out of the kitchen and living room. ---

I could eat for the first time in 3 days, so that was very nice. I feel normal now! And I went on my usual morning walk, took the kids to the park, and went to the library, and enjoyed my daughter’s dance class. It was great to be outside (and it was cloudy, and now it’s actually raining, yay). Tomorrow I’m going to treat myself to a Frosty to celebrate my new ability to eat. Getting back to boring ordinary life after a bout of stomach flu = a very good day. I haven’t been so sick in years. I’m not sure I’ve _ever_ been exactly that kind of sick–laryngitis is my usual nemesis. ---
