I didn’t see much of consensus there. There were statements that S. Koreans didn’t like the idea that reunification would be costly and problematic. But those weren’t placed in the context of a war. I think S. Korea would not have a problem with shouldering the burden of reunification as the price for removing the N.Korean threat.
This is GQ, so I’m not presenting my opinions here as conclusions, just as a means of illustrating the known considerations in this problem.
