In Moby Dick , Melville describes the Sperm Whale penis as so large thaty its skin can fit over a man. (In the chapter entitled “The Cassock”) There used to be a picture on Snopes purporting to show a whale penis, but it’s gone now (Not the one of a whale shark that’s now up). IIRC, Uncle Cecil compared it to a telephone pole, at one point. ---

Numbers I’ve read range from six to sixteen feet; photos support an estimate of about eight feet. Testes are reported to be 20-25 pounds, and are internal. Am I the only one who’s sick of expanding foreskin jokes? The foreskin doesn’t really get much bigger; it’s the tissue inside it that expands. It gets a little tighter, and it does stretch some, but no more than ordinary skin. ---
